Ingredients for the Easy Winter Simmer Pot with Orange and Cranberry
- Orange Slices
- Apple Slices
- Cranberries
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 whole star anise
- 2 whole nutmeg
- Water (enough to fill your chosen pot up leaving 1 inch headspace)


Instructions for the Easy Winter Simmer Pot
- Add your water to the pot of your choice, leaving about 1 inch of headspace to add the rest of the ingredients.
- Add all of your ingredients to the pot. You can use as many slices of fruit as you would like. The fruit can be dehydrated or fresh.
- Bring the pot to a simmer and then keep on low for several hours.
- The recipe can simmer for a long time, just be sure to check on it periodically and add more water as needed.


Notes
- I use whole seasonings, but using pre-ground seasonings will also work well.
- This recipe can be done in a pot on the stove or in a crockpot.
- If you are using a pot on the stove, be sure to check the water level periodically to avoid burning the ingredients.
- You can use fresh or dehydrated ingredients. If you are wanting to use dehydrated fruit, be sure to dehydrate them ahead of time.
