Finding joy in the mundane by living intentionally and focusing on family; homeschool, homestead, and a healthy home life.

Meet Danna from Home with the Hudsons

Welcome to Home with the Hudsons, a place where I joyfully share homeschool activities, traditional homestead skills I am learning, and ways to create a beautiful and intentional household.

My husband, Teddy, and I married in 2020 (talk about a whirlwind experience). We are the proud parents to one loving and adventurous toddler son. I have always been intrigued by the homesteading lifestyle and my husband has joined me in learning about this intentional way of living and finding ways to implement it into our daily lives. Together, we have found several ways to create a healthy home life, including: regular date nights, gardening and food preservation, prioritizing family time together, and many more. Join us as we continue to learn all we can about intentional living and share our knowledge with you!

About Me
- I am a Southern and Cajun girl at heart. My family is from Louisiana and, although I have lived several different places since then, nothing beats Southern charm and a Cajun meal.
- I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and I am passionate about creating a lifestyle that helps families and individuals meet their full potential.
- I ended up having a C-section with our son and am passionate about pregnancy and postpartum care.
- I love all things gardening! If I had infinite time and money, I would definitely spend the majority of it outside creating the most picturesque garden imaginable.
- I enjoy creating handmade DIY projects. I am often looking for new crafts and enjoy seeing handmade items throughout my home.
- I am passionate about creating a peaceful and inviting living space through food, decorating, and spending time together. Home is my favorite place to be!

We are new home owners! We moved across state lines to buy a fixer-upper on 17 acres. Follow along as we renovate our house, cultivate the land, and find fun, intentional ways to make our house a home! You can keep up with our journey here.

Fun Facts
- I spent a semester abroad while in college. Our home base was in Austria and I spent 4 months travelling all over Europe and loved it!
- I have always loved acting and theatre and graduated from college with a minor in theatre.
- We have one cat named Luca. He is overweight, struggles with allergies, and is very loveable.

We hope you enjoy your time with the Hudsons as we turn our house into a home!
